She began her career as a case manager in 2009, became a Registered Nurse with a BSN from Louisiana State University in 2015, and went on to serve as Program Manager at Louisiana’s first Sobering Center,
Yesenia is an innovative and compassionate Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner with over a decade of experience in Psychiatry. She began her career as a case manager in 2009, became a Registered Nurse with a BSN from Louisiana State University in 2015, and went on to serve as Program Manager at Louisiana’s first Sobering Center, where she collaborated with key stakeholders, including the Mayor’s Office and the Department of Health, to establish the program.
Guided by a passion for serving her community, Yesenia earned her MSN as a Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner from the University of South Alabama in 2023. A native New Orleanian and proud member of the Hispanic community, she brings cultural sensitivity and empathy to her practice, forging meaningful connections with patients from diverse backgrounds. Yesenia is dedicated to providing high-quality, equitable mental health care and making a lasting impact in her community.

Her work with patients across the lifespan inspired her to pursue advanced training in mental health.
Kattie earned her MSN as a Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner from the University of South Alabama in 2023 and is currently completing her Doctor of Nursing Practice, with her scholarly project focused on maternal mental health, including pregnancy, prenatal, and postpartum psychiatric care. A native of New Orleans, she is deeply committed to addressing the unique mental health needs of her community. Kattie’s approach blends evidence-based treatment with genuine compassion, helping patients feel supported, understood, and empowered on their mental health journey.
